Meet the Staff!
Kristi Didaskalou- President
Kristi has been with WMBI since the beginning and is in charge of waiting on customers, answering phone calls, computer input- inventory & contracts, billing, and office work. So it is safe to say she is a jack of all trades.
Kristi says that her favorite part about working here is that she gets to work with family and gets to meet new people. Also she enjoys being able to help families by donating instruments and services.
Dillon Gates- Store Manager
Dillon has been working at WMBI since the beginning and has loved every minute of it. Being able to work with family not only helps make a comfortable environment, but also makes me want to come to work every day to see my family. Along with spending time with family, I appreciate the fact that we are able to work hand in hand with the customers. Seeing them walk away with a smile is always the best.
Micah's role at West Michigan Band is a full-time employee, he is a jack of all trades, from delivering repairs to schools, picking up repairs from schools, working the front desk and handling phone calls.
Micah has been at West Michigan Band since our beginning in 2010
Micah mentions that his favorite part of working at West Michigan Band is the family atmosphere and working with his uncles, Mom, and favorite brother Dillon as well as the repair men and teachers here.
Clint Mottler- Head Repair Tech
At West Michigan Band Clint specializes in Instrument Repair and does an amazing job on all his repairs. Clint has been with us at West Michigan Band for 6 years and counting. Clint says that his favorite part about working at West Michigan Band is the ability to have flexible work hours. Clint was a music major at Grand Valley. Clint is also a Veteran and was a part of the Military Band, and also trained there for his repair education.
David has been working in the music business since the age of 10, starting at the old Music store Middletons Music. David started West Michigan Band with the intent on creating another option for parents to go to for their music needs as well as bringing in his nephews as the next wave of family to be involved in the Family business as well as Music industry. David has always had a special place in his heart for helping schools and students in the music industry!
Phil Marsh attended and majored in music at Muskegon Community College for two years. During this period he took classical guitar lesson at Grand Valley State University with Guillermo Feirens. After Attending MCC he studied guitar at The Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, CA.
After graduating he has taught jazz guitar at Muskegon Community College, Hope College and Grand Valley State University. In addition to teaching he has played professional in many different situations including his band, The Hip Pocket, a popular West Michigan funk band.
